I don't recall any of the details now (it might have been "A Mind Forever Voyaging") but it did seem to work - not that I ever finished that game.

I think it was more an exercise of 'can it be done' than anything else.

One other thing we did was patch one of the Infocom games to work off two drives on the Model I. The story file in question was too big to fit on a single 35 track SSSD floppy so we modified the disk routine to switch to a 2nd drive when reading beyond a certain block in the story file. At least that's how I recall it... and again, no idea which game.tcdevhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17906878237742487968noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1450941121960653488.post-3009554272945071502017-11-23T07:23:29.712-08:002017-11-23T07:23:29.712-08:00I would have no compunction at all about using the...I would have no compunction at all about using the Infocom interpreters for my own purposes, and obtaining them from those places where one finds such things, but I might be a little hesitant to send them out with content of my own. One way to work around this is the tried-and-true option of delivering your own modifications as a patch. Write a little installer-wrapper that recognizes the various CoCo Infocom disks, and automates the disk(image) surgery on a user-supplied disk. Just make sure to warn users not to install it over their original Hitchhikers' floppy disk!Joel Ewyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05455734390978938378noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1450941121960653488.post-17939309227280232662017-11-22T04:40:55.658-08:002017-11-22T04:40:55.658-08:00Great info and comments.Great info and comments.cocoretrohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13470407004128178204noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1450941121960653488.post-14331173640196038262017-11-21T05:12:10.214-08:002017-11-21T05:12:10.214-08:00Cool write up john!
